Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

PagePilot AI collects no personal information. We do not operate any backend server or database.

2. Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device:

• Your Gemini API key(s)
• Your selected AI model preference
• Key rotation settings
• Saved macros (recorded browser actions)
• Chat history (conversation context, cleared when you clear chat)
• Request count statistics

3. How Your API Key Is Used

When you send a message or run an agent command, the extension makes a direct HTTPS request from your browser to Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) using your API key. This request:

• Is sent directly — no proxy, no middleman, no PagePilot servers
• Contains only the text/image you explicitly sent
• Is governed by Google's Privacy Policy

4. Page Content Access

PagePilot AI can read the content of the page you are currently viewing, but only when you explicitly trigger it (via "Attach page", "Auto-read", or an agent command). This content is:

• Sent directly to the Gemini API as part of your request
• Never stored on any PagePilot server
• Never shared with any third party other than Google's Gemini API

5. Debugger Permission

The debugger permission is used exclusively to dispatch precise mouse and keyboard events via Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP). This enables reliable form filling on complex web applications (e.g. Google Forms, React/Vue apps). It is not used to intercept network traffic, capture credentials, or monitor browsing activity.

6. Third-Party Services

The only external service this extension communicates with is:

• Google Gemini API — for AI inference, using your own API key

We do not use analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting, or any other third-party service.

7. Children's Privacy

PagePilot AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
